Bangabandhu Military Museum

The Bangladesh Military Museum is a major museum in Dhaka dedicated to the military history, heritage, and accomplishments of Bangladesh’s armed forces. Founded originally as the “Army Museum” in 1987, it was relocated and significantly revamped under the name “Bangladesh Military Museum” with modern architecture and exhibitions.

The museum features galleries for the Army, Navy, Air Force, UN Peace-keeping operations and the Chittagong Hill Tracts region, along with large outdoor exhibits of military hardware and a dedicated “Toshakhana” gallery for state gifts.

Its mission is to preserve and present the nation’s military legacy, educate visitors (especially younger generations), honour those who served, and provide an engaging museum experience with interactive displays.
